I bought a second defunct reserve-part Beocenter 7007, that included the standard remote control. The remote I've had for my usable Beocenter 7007 was the MC Panel 7700. So after testing with the old standard remote, the MC7700 wont work anymore. It says "No transmission", but the signals are still strong, and if I hold it not more than 15 cm away from the player, it works - although it still says "no transmission".

Any idea why this happen? * I have of course restarted the player, changed batteries, removed the old remote, etc.

MCP7700 expects the Beocenter to answer, and shows "No transmission", if no reply from the Beocenter is received.
Beocenter 7007 does not support two-way remote control. It doesn't send info back to the remote as Beocenter 7700 does.

I wouldn't expect MCP7700 to work with anything but a Beocenter 7700.

Thank you for the response Martin.

I do work actually. It worked until I tried with the older standard one.

You could see that stated in this article:

https://beocentral.com/mastercontrolpanel7700

//

"Unlike later two-way IR products, the Master Control Panel 7700 could function normally even if the returned data was not received. It could therefore be used with the Beocenter 7007 as well, though much of the advantage was lost."

Perhaps I didn't understand you.
It seemed to me, that you thought the "No transmission" message suggested an error.
