Sometimes, my BS5 has a strange behavior :
In play mode, when the title of a song is long, the layer of the volume mask the end of the title (you can clic on the picture below to see the full size, ans see the "s" of knows).
I send a mail to BeoCare (last year) and they reported the problem to the technical crew.
I must say that my BS5, since the replacement of the motherboard, don't do the update anymore, so i'm still in 5.0 and the firmware is 1.2a.
So, my dealer must come to my house with an usb key and do the firmware update.
Is there any BS5 owner or BS5 Encore with the same problem (and with an updated firmware) ?

After the replacement of the board, they forgot to reinstall the serial number in the motherboard.
no serial number no update.
Check the service menu if the bm5 has a serial.

The BM5 has no serial !
Can i add the serial myself or only the dealer can do that ?
And, if i can add the serial, do you think the "title masked" problem will be resolve with the firmware update ?

If you would have the proper sw (on an USB) you could do it yourself. But it's a pity, I presume, the dealer has to reinstall the serial.
I didn't see tittles blocked as described, so maybe the update(s) will resolve your problem

I'm going to bring the BM5 to my dealer fot the update.
Hopefully, i could continue to hear music from my BeoSound 8 !
