Hi B&O fans.

Have a BEOSOUND 8 which I´m really pleased with.

Only thing is that I´m not able to get IPAD2 connected via dock. Iphone 4 connects immediatly in the dock.

Any suggestions?

Br/Lars

Did you give the round button behind the iPod/iPhone/iPad the right screw turn? Otherwise there may be not enough space for an iPad, which is thicker than an iPod touch.

Hi Br/Lars,

I have no Beosound 8, but a Beoplay A8. And this works fine with all my Apple devices with the old connector, included IPad 2.

Perhaps you could take your iPad2 to your local dealer and try it on one of their display  models. They may not have a BeoSound8 but will have a BEOPLAY A8. That should determine if there is a problem with the dock connector in the iPad itself.

Originally I thought I read that because of the shape difference of the back of the iPad - it being rounder that I would have trouble docking on my beosound 8.

I traded my iPad for a The New IPad aka iPad 3. I haven't had any trouble with playing anything although when its docked it looks like the connection isn't perfect from the back but it's fine.

Is your volume up?

Is your problem that you can't get it to connect/dock physical or does it dock fine but doesn't register the iPad? -Big difference.

It should have no problem docking physical.

Hi!

I have the same problem. Ipad1 worked fine. The ipad2 will just fall forward. The beosound is on wall bracket.

I had to get a new connector, the first one broke

Also needs to be mentioned, if I hold the ipad it connects physically but I don't dare leave it

iPad 1/2/3 all work fine assuming you adjust the holder using the wheel.  My deale always told me that B&O didn't suport the docking of an iPad when the BS8 was wall mounted due to the vertical position the unit mounts in as opposed o the slightly reclined position on the feet.

I've only ever had Ipad 2 and BS8 always worked fine however after 20 months the dock failed dock now replaced works fine.

I am worried it may happen again the Ipad2 on the dock is wobbly ever with the rear screw adjusted.

(never allow drunks at parties to choose tracks this may increase the life of the dock!!!)
