How do I turn off the harddisc at bv11, when I don't use it? (the most of the time I don't use it) I have tried to turn timeshift off, but that do not help.

What is the reason for turning the HDD off?

I rarely use it either, but have no problems just leaving it.

I guess it’s because the hard disc is making some noise? I’ve noticed, since I moved my Avant 55 with a hard disc to a new location in the house, the hard disc is working and making noise even if I don’t use it at all. It’s placed in a cupboard which unfortunately works as a resonant box.

Could be a reason, but the HDD in my BV11 is dead silent.

Let’s see what the OP responds Smile

If you are a gold member you can access the newly published repair guide for BV11.

There you maybe can see how to detach the HDD.

I am not a gold member. Maybe someone knows a good trick to turn off the HDD? I cannot be the only one that the HDD noise is a problem… ;-)

Am I the only one on this forum who thinks my HDD at my BV11 mk1 makes noise?
