Hi there,
I’m new to the B&O world, joining from Australia. I bought a beautiful A9 4Gen which is now connected to an Apple TV 4K. I’m trying to avoid connecting the A9 to my Samsun QA75 TV via optical cable, so instead I have it connected via AirPlay to the Apple TV. All works fine, except it seems I can’t control the A9 volume via the Apple TV Siri remote. I am currently doing it via the phone app, which is a bit weird… What are my alternatives if I want a single remote control to control both Apple TV and A9 (and possibly the TV too)?Any assistance will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Lara
I can see two solutions for you:
1. You can actually control the Apple TV 4K via bluetooth with the BeoRemote One. To control the volume of the A9, however, you have to press several buttons on the remote to switch from controlling the Apple TV to the A9.
2. You can control everything -- including your Samsung TV -- by adding either a BeoSystem 4 or a BeoSystem 3 AVR to your TV. The PUC can turn the TV on/off and also control the Apple TV. You can probably get a BeoSystem 3 for $500 or a little more. You might need a B&O dealer to add the Samsung and Apple TV devices to the PUC. Then you can control everything with a B&O remote.
G’day Michael
Yes, my Apple TV is connected via HDMI to the Samsung TV and I found, thanks to your assistance, how to control the volume using the Siri remote! Your assistance was much appreciated!
Many thanks mate!
