My Beomaster 900K just died, after being a faithful friend for around 40 years :(
It has never been repaired before, to my knowledge, but now I have to at least try. I have a fairly good understanding of electrics, and buying new stuff is boring. For the last 10 years or so, there have been some crackling and sparking sounds when I turned it on. And in the last 2-3 years it has taken a short while for it to produce sound when switching it on.
So I open it up to check around, and I locate something burnt on one of the two capacitors located at the rear. I found one of them kind of loose, so I removed the metal cover to check it further and I find this. When it powers on it blows the 250mA fuse. Could that be related?
So, anyone with the knowledge to share - could it be as simple as to replace these? And if so, would any present day 800 uF capacitor of similar voltage do?
Or what else should I be looking at? I know it is old, but what usually pops first?

Great to see a hint of vintage here.
That's just a bit of heat damage from the original soldering of the output caps. Nothing to worry about.Common reasons for the blowing fuse is the capacitor at the center of the amplifier board (80uF or 125uF I think.Replace with 100uF or 150uF), the main filter capacitor and/or the metal rectifier or the mains transformer itself.
