Hi all

My first post here :-)

I got a beogram 9000, refitted it with an mmc4 and use it to digitize my vinyls. For the time being, it sits horizontally on a concrete socket. Once all the vinyls are on my server, I'd like to hang the beogram to the wall. The deck should remain operable if possible.  As suggested by dillen in this post, it should be feasible, but:

  • I think, the tonearm must be spring loaded to achive this, is that correct?
  • How would the vinyl disc be held from falling of the turn table when mounted vertically?
  • If it falls, how would this affect the survival of the stylus?
  • If it can be done, did anyone already do it? Could you share the way you mounted it and probably your experiences?
Thanks a ton in advance
chris
