Hello!

I just joined the Beoworld forum and I am excited to say that I am finally in the position to expand my Bang & Olufsen collection!

I recently acquired a fully restored and serviced Beogram 4002 and a Beocenter 2300 with the Beolab 2500 speaker configuration. I am looking to play my 4002 through the Beocenter set up - is that possible?

I am also considering a pair of Beosound 6000 speakers - how would I go about connecting the Beogram to those?

I am new to vintage Bang and Olufsen products (and audio products in general) and I appreciate any and all help!

As far as I can remember the Beocenter 2300 has only an AUX input so you'll need to add a phono (RIAA) preamp between the 4002 and the 2300.

^ Yes you'll need an RIAA pre-amp (see details here: https://www.beoworld.org/faq_view.asp?id=18).  I think Steve at Sounds Heavenly (site sponsor at foot of page) sells one, together with other cables that you may require.  You'd connect the Beogram (via the RIAA amp) to the AUX socket, and select using AUX on the front panel.

What remote do you have, if any?  You won't have any remote control of the turntable; you'd need a more modern Beogram (3500, 4500, 6500 or 7000) to achieve that - plus those decks all have built in RIAA amps and would be recognised by the BC2300 as a PHONO source (PHONO displayed instead of AUX.)

Also Beolab 6000 speakers would work fine with the BC2300, you'd just connect them to the Powerlink sockets in place of the Beolab 2500s.
