Is it just me or are others experiencing the same dizziness and confusion. Never in the history of Bang & Olufsen have there been so many new products released and discontinued in recent years. A lot of these products have already been discontinued because they aren’t that good, don’t sell, too expensive or don’t get the service back-up compared to the competitors. Blink and suddenly yet another Bluetooth speaker or another pair of noise cancelling headphones. Thankfully the home speaker line is more stable and of greater substance.

What is going on strategically with the company - it’s like they’re are trying everything, in an attempt to make something stick?

It is modern marketing, just blame Edward Bernays.

He is the inventor of public relations/modern marketing;

He invented that you sell a whole lot more wen you tell people they WANT something rather then they NEED something. They will feel good wen they buy your product.

That's why people keep buying new smartphones all the time, not that they need it, but they want it because there is a new model.

You'll see it when you look at the ads.

B&O uses the same marketing strategy, otherwise they will go bankrupt quickly.
