Hi all,
It's been so long since I've had to do it, but I can't remember how to reconnect my BEO5 to my Beocentre 9300. There's a key sequence on the 9300, I thought I had it written down 🙄
That's what I get for letting the battery go flat on the remote.
Could someone please remind me.
Thanks & Merry Xmas
Jay
Can no-one help?
In case anyone thinks I'm losing my marbles...
When I first got the Beo5 it wouldn't work with the BC.
All I recall is there are two modes of operation (I don't know if it was IR/RF or something), but the Beo5 would not work until either it or the BC was switched to the other mode. And I'm fairly sure I recall it being the BC - though not certain.
Or perhaps I used the Beo4 to change the setting on the BC... Its been too long to remember 🙄
Pleeeease... 😬
If the BC9300 does not respond to any remote commands perhaps it has been set to A.OPT 0.
If you still have a Beo4, then put the BC9300 in standby (red power light showing). Then on the Beo4 press the POWER button and LIST together. Then press LIST until OPTION is shown, press GO (centre button), and then press LIST to show A.OPT. Then press 1. The display top right on the BC9300 should show a '1' to show that it has been accepted. It should then respond to IR commands.
I am not sure what the Key sequence is on a Beo5 (am am waiting for a new battery for mine!)
Further to the above, you should also be able to set the BC9300's Option setting using the Beo5.
Enter the Beo5's settings menu by pressing the standby button together with the centre button.
Select the 'Option Pgm' menu in the centre of the screen, and hopefully is will be self explanatory from there. You want to select A.OPT 1.
Guy, thank you so much for this! It's exactly what I was looking for and using the Beo4 method all my systems and the Beo5 are back to full working fettle 😊
I knew it was something relatively straightforward and have printed this out to keep with my manuals.
You have a cracking new year!
^ Great news indeed - thanks for letting me know and have a fantastic New Year too!
