Hi all,

since a couple of days my LG starts automatic a couple of minutes after switching it off.

I can only guess, that this is caused from the HDMI signal coming from the stage. I can put it back to standby when using the off button in the B&O app.

The connection if done with the B&O HDMI cable. I have the stage in ggogle home, but not the LG.

Does anybody have the same issue or does anybody have an idea what the cause might be?

Many thanks in advance,

Jens

You'll need to go into the LG menu and accept the recent terms of service. It's a requirement from LG after their most recent software update. Once you agree, the TV will stop turning off.

Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there

do you have any other device connected to the TV and using CEC? for me it was Shield doing same thing in the background.

you can also try to disable Quickstart+ and wake on mobile in G1. may help.

I don't have that issue with the Contour. Which is basically the same.

Have you tried factory resetting both? I know it is a lot of work to do. But you can export your channels to a usb thumb drive first.

I had some sort of the same problem. It was caused by my Blu-ray player connected to the LG tv. Disconnected the player and reset the tv and Stage and the problem was solved.

we still don’t know what exactly was the problem, but it was caused by that connection.

Hi all,

thanks for all the answers. Sorry that my feedback took so long, but as this was my first post here, it needed to be approved by the admins first.

There is no other device connected. The stage is connected to the tv with the HDMI cable coming with the stage.
Internet is connected via LAN, so both the G1 and the stage are not Wifi enabled.

The issue is gone since I turned off QuickStart, so smg, thank you for this hint.

I also went to the mentioned Ts&Cs, rejected most, so maybe this can also be the reason but  I believe this should not lead to an automatic restart.

Do you have the LG and Stage also connected together with the ethernet cable as mentioned in the manual?

Did you turn off the automatic source detection on the LG? (Also mentioned in the manual)

Hi Pentalex.

yes and yes. But I had configured this before the issue appeared (right from the start 11/2021).

The scary start-again did not appear right from the start, but some weeks later. Maybe after an update (LG und stage is set to automatic updates). Scary because sometimesI was already in bed and suddenly the tv startet again 😱

I guess the problem is solved due to switching off the QuickStart+ option.

I will let you know when it happens again
