Hi everyone.

Im a complete newbie to B and O stuff so any help /advice much appreciated

I picked up a 2nd hand Beovision 1L TV yesterday. I got it set up and turned on and was getting used to the remote and settings. It has the silver Beo1 remote which is a bit awkward to use

I went into the service menu and chose "reset to default". Now when I turn the TV on at the switch it goes to standby mode but I can't turn it on. The remote has batteries and the ifra red is working.

Can anyone help? Does the remote need to be paired with the TV in some way?

Thabks for advice!

Chris

You might need to make sure the remote is in the right option for the TV

Maybe the factory reset changed the TV to its default option setting and might have been setup differently

Google beo4 option setting if you have the Beo4 remote

Thanks for the suggestion. It isnt the beo4 remote it's the unusual silver Beo1 which doesn't have any number keys so not sure how to adjust any settings for the remote. Can't find any info online unfortunately.

Hi there

Sorry I have no idea how to operate that remote or if it even supports option programming.

If it is the original tv for which this remote was made, the navigation is done via the display at the buttom of the tv……as far as I remember.

It is a long time since I had my hands on that oldtimer Unsure

In addition to a very comprehensive on-screen menu system, there was also a red LED matrix display below the screen. This was essential in order to make the very basic Beo 1 usable, but it also added visual interest. To avoid being distracting to the viewer, the display disappeared after a few seconds if it was not used.’

I guess most people used the Beo4.

Thanks everyone. I've ordered a Beo4 remote off ebay so hopefully that solves the problem.
