Harmony Screen

I understand that the eclipse MK1 software is not via the LG app for the screen to work with the sound centre and future TV’s like the eclipse mK2 can have the screen swapped out of needed to a newer version but with the same mount.

My question is: if you bought a Harmony 65 can you upgrade the screen to the 77 or 88 yourself?

Like if you had the 77 and moved house and it was too big can you buy the panel and swap it over yourself now the screen is controlled via the Bang and Olufsen App?

Yes as the soundcenter is the same, but you’ll have to buy the new fabric/wood panels of the associated size.

I did the switch from 65" to 77", you also need the mounting plate for the back of the LG and they are different from screen to screen. 

The swap itself is quite easy, only a couple of screws and the cables. You can easy delete/reset the B&O software and sell the LG.

As the larger speaker cover did not arrive in time I had the 65" cover with the 77"...looks odd...thought in the first place could life with it, but no, I could not. So also consider swapping them as well.

Hope B&O will come up with the cover for the 83" sizes than I will upgrade again.

Be aware that with moving a Harmony, the screen size is not the real issue, it is the sound center. Approx 80kg and not a one man show. It also needs handle with care.

Swopping screen size means swopping panel covers. But it is the first Beovision that is future proof for the upcoming years

I think when I do swap from Eclipse to Harmony I would start with 65 or 77 and the fact with some cost they scan be swapped with some speaker covers etc it means it is future proof for now.
