Hi wonder if anyone can help
i bought a beovision 11-46 with the navigation joystick type remote
the remote doesn’t seem to work at all
however my other beo 4 does work but only to access the menu then can’t go any further as it doesn’t have the joystick navigation button
Is there anyway around this other than buying a new remoteAny advice would be appreciated as I’m a bit of a novice
Hi and welcome,
What could work with the functioning Beo4 is to type the number of the line of the menu. So a 3 to move to the 3rd line.
in the menu there should be an option for choosing a navi or a non-navi remote.
With the selfie camera of a phone you can check if the Beo4 navi emits IR signals.

Hi thanks for advice have just tried it
sorry didn’t work
I have now checked the remote with my other b&o tv and it doesn’t function
thanks for help
Hi that is a pity. Did you check it emits IR signals?
I think the line number way then only works with older BVs. A Dutch BV11 manual indeed says that only the Beo4 with navi works. One thing maybe: the remote needs to be in mode 1: "When a Beo4 remote control is in MODE 1, the navigation button is used for menu operation, and menu and source operation are separated.". In the Beo4 manual you can find how.

Good luck!
