I've had a problem on my Beosound 1 with the CD player rotating and then stopping. After a lot of googling I found that this is a common fault and caused by the laser head failing. It also seems that getting replacements is mighty difficult. I got the head refurbished by a great guy in England who provided awesome service. His name is Mark at mark@av-repairs.com He has a website : http://av-repairs.com/ (I've no connection, commercial or otherwise with the guy). Cost about $120 and just great to listen to the awesome sound again !
I do not understand what you mean by difficult ?, the parts it's not a problem to order from b&o??
