I have acquired a Beogram 3400 that's pristine in every way and appears to power up fine. However, when the tone arm moves to the leading edge of the record, it stops, does not make contact with the record, and then returns to the original position. When I manually move the tone arm to the end of record, it reacts properly and returns to the original position. I assume this is a lubrication issue, and am looking for advice/resources on how to get to the problem and resolve it. Thanx.
