Can anybody tell me please can you replace the rubber caps top and bottom on the left hand of the front of the unit under the glass (the glass slides over these two rubber nodules.  Mine have worn out and sometimes it make a slight scraping noise as there is nothing to cushion the glass against the hard plastic..  Is there any other replacement people have successfully used or tried?  Thank you.

Hi:

I had this same issue a few years back with my BeoSound 2000/Century. To solve the problem, I used a very small diameter but high quality 1/4" self adhesive felt dot and it has worked beautifully ever since on a unit that is used often.  I also treated the back of the glass (that contacts the dots) with Rain-X car windshield treatment to make the glass extra slick and friction free. I haven't treated it since and the door slides beautifully.

I have a whole roll of these and will send some off to you in a standard envelope if you'd like. Let me know.

Thanks a lot guys.  Much appreciated.  The century is still one of my favorite pieces. Have to get the lil' beast working as new again.
