beolab 5000, beomaster 5000, beovox 5000, beogram 3000, beocord 1800, beovox 2500 complete with all original manuals for all items plus new unused  stylus still in packing.

It lasted all of two days on ebay two days ago.

It looks as if the Beogram is the Acoustical version of the 3000 rather than the more usual Thorens TD124.

I agree - though this was the deck that was sold in the UK. Andy Tulloch has one. They are good decks and use the same motor as the Thorens. They appear more like a big 1000 in some ways though the performance is better.

Quite a bit not working but still quite a collection - I hope he got a good price. The lid can probably be replaced with one from a 1200 or similar and the manuals are nice. I wonder if he still has the legs for the speakers?

I was going to ask if anyone on here had made them an offer they couldn't refuse. I would have had a good bid on that lot.

I was in contact with seller and he did not know what he was selling it was passed on to him by his grandfather and he put it on ebay starting at 99p he was then contacted by someone who offered him £300 for complete system,  he immediately took the offer as he told me he would have been happy with a few quid and having someone to take it away, so someone out there  has a very nice system for a nice price.

Not an awful price though I reckon £1000 would have been easy to get.

Not a total ripoff then, luckily... Anyway, I have always thought that people who just don't have the patience to watch a week long auction to the end deserve the few pennies they get.

I agree with that sort of price you reckon peter for what he had, i went on to tell him that had he advertised it with some of the items in the auction title he would have been bombarded with offers, the title it was under was vintage olufsen.

I agree - the cubes and the Beogram are both very collectible and could well have attracted a lot of money. I suggest this may not be the last we see of these!

That was a good deal - I see some 2500 Cubes for sale at £200 a pair!

Vinyl records, cassettes, open reel, valve amplifiers and film photography.
