I know what I'm trying to do was never really an intended design but I want to try and use a Beolab 3500 as a TV speaker (for a Beovision 4 & Beosystem 2 setup). These would both be installed in a link room and so both would be slave to the main system(s) elsewhere in the house. Thus both will be set to Option 6 to start with. BUT, the 3500 will not be directly connected to the BS2, it will be ML to the rest of the network as will the BS2. I'm assuming this will work but only for listening and viewing from a remote master source. I will not be able to listen to anything that is locally connected and selected on the BS2 (so STB or PC etc). Also, is option 6 correct in this case or does the BL3500 need changing to opt 4 or 5? One advantage I can see is that the TV sound should then be in Stereo on the BL3500 rather than Mono from the distributed audio that the BS2 would have put out (from the UHF RF link signal). I will probaby just set this up and try anyway but just wondered if anyone else has already done this and noted the effects or worked out the optimum settings? Sorry, long question - but that's maybe because I put the answer in there somewhere too ?
