Has anyone dealt with or heard of Bosscom? They have several B&O items that seem interesting, including this:

This would solve several issues for me as I'm redoing my setup.

I found them as they had a lighting controller on eBay, but can't find them advertising anything there now. Can't find a retail dealer either.

Good evening,

I contacted them a few months ago to get a price on their Bossdim dimmers. They sell them $350 US each. I finished buying two LC1 dimmers from a Beoworld member (thanks!) at a much lower price (I am located in Canada and needed 120 Volts units). Both are working fine since I received them and have excellent IR reception. So, I cannot comment about the Bosscom units as I didn't go further with the order. However, they said that their Mark II (or version 2) dimmers have better IR reception than the first version.

Good luck,

Jean

I've heard a lot of bad things about them.
I won't go into details here but I would stay away...

search the old forum archives so that you can understand some of the problems of the past

I had used them quite a lot five or six years ago, now sporadically.  I haven't experienced any more difficulties than with any other Supplier.  I still use them for certain pieces now.

I'll take another shot at searching. I've had intermittent failures using search in the old forum, sometimes it seems to work, sometimes it just seems to choke and not return anything when I know it's been discussed. Confused

The selector switch would be nice, being able to pick an aux input device via the Beo4, but since I only have two devices, one of which is the turntable that you have to be over at the cabinet to use anyway, I guess it's not that big a deal.

Thanks all!

Edit to add:

Yeesh, seems like a chequered past. Even if I could find a retailer I think I'll avoid, I have enough day to day problems without the risk of adding more. One thing that already had me hesitant was the fact that for this switch they used mini-plugs, which to me aren't long term as durable a connection as RCAs or DIN.
