Hi guys,

I got my bs5 encore 3 month ago, it was working perfectly fine. However, until last Thursday, the encore can not play network music stored in WD live with twonky server. The strange thing is the encore can find all music files stored in WD, and it displays everything such as artists, covers, albums.., however, the encore just would not play any song track .

And the network connection is fine, as the network radio works well. And I guess the WD Live is working because I can access and play song tracks stored in WD live through my mac. And I guess the encore can also sees twonky, as in Mode=>Role, it displays MybookLive-Twonky.  A maintenance guy from B&O came but did not solve the problem, and he said he would come back with more testing tools.

I have no idea about what happened, has anyone had similar experiences? Any expert can help to solve the problem?

Thanks

Did you by chance change the format of any songs?

1. copy a flac file from your WD to an USB stick. Place the stick in the port just behind/under the screen (see manual). Choose A.Aux can the flac file be heard? Than the BS5e is OK - presumably some setting problem.

2. with a pc start browser. type <ip_address_of_your_WD>:9000 Twonky setting is started. what version of Twonky is running?

try also

3. go to settings, service setting, music storage in BS5e. Choose as Media Storage: None. after this choice is the actual choise, reboot the BS5e (settings, maintenance, reboot). After reboot N.Music is not possible. Go again to settings, service setting, media storage and choose your WD (twonky) maybe you have to wait a little until the server is visible. wait for N.Music to reappear. After some time (depending of the amount of files) all tittles, artists, etc reappear. Try to play music again

A short addition to point 1 from Carolpa: when adding a USB device just under the screen, A.MEM will be visable. Choose this one instead of A.AUX and try to play your file. A.AUX is for a line-in device.

Succes and let us know if the solution of Carolpa helped you with solving the problem.

What about the volumelevel on the BS5e? Turn the wheel clockwise to increase the volume. Look at the blue half circle.
