Hey guys, I have a 9500 that the CD door was hanging up upon opening or closing unless I physically pushed it the rest of the way myself, either opening or closing. I was starting to get really upset until I noticed some dusty stuff in the rail for the door. I cleaned it out and the mechanism instantly improved, but still slows a little going over that area.

I'd like to know what kind of grease I need to use to lubricate this rail before more gunk collects there or whatever is there completely dries out.

Thanks as usual.

I recommend new belts.

There was definitely some gunk hanging up in the rail because there was dust stuck to whatever it was. I see now that the gear has plenty of lube, but the rail part was dirty and it seems to be fine now. In any case, it came with SIX new cassette/CD door belts in an envelope so if and when I feel I want to tackle that project I certainly can. Guess I won't lube that area as it doesn't seem that it requires it.
