Hi forum friends,

I just wonder why everything has to be that complicated by B&O. Let me explain what I mean...

I'm planing to purchase a second hand Beovison 7 and of course I'm trying to find out the best possible SAT Receiver for STB control. However, there is no list etc. Of course I know that Bang & Olufsen does not oriented on second hand market. But still; these kind of information should be very clear for the customers who purchase products couple of years ago and what to change their receivers.

Just to find the correct receiver should I always contact with my dealer? That is something I can not understand... At the end B&O offers something NOT competiable with each product on the market. So that's again their job to make it easy for end users. Am I wrong or missing something?

After all these comments the question is that is there any list for STB competiable SAT Receivers for Beovision 7?

Have a great and sunny Sunday...

B&O do cover the vast majority of Set Top Boxes. Personally I use Sky boxes and these integrate seamlessly with B&O. It is always worth checking with a dealer about the exact box you want as the boxes change codes, not B&O, and a dealer can check that you will have the correct software to allow you to control the box satisfactorily with a B&O remote. Alternatively ask her about specific boxes. The problem we have is that we will not know which software your TV has.

Thank you very much for your help Dimitris. As Peter in his previous post wrote, it also depends with the software of Beovision I believe.

I think that B&O make upgrade on their PUC system base on old versions, so they can still create a list based on model. Because the receiver compatible with MK1 has to be compatible with for example MK4. Like this the job has to be done for B&O will be very easy and it will be really helpfull for their customers. Is my way of thinking correct Peter?
