I have a BS-1 where the female AC power receptacle will no longer hold tightly the male power cord. Has anyone encountered this problem, and know of a solution?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I believe that The Daily Mail has a good Agony Aunt column dealing with problems just like this one.

Assuming that the Daily Mail does not help Whistle I'd try another power lead (for fit only) just to check whether it's the lead or the socket.

I don't own a BS1 so don't know whether there's anything in the power lead that would make it inadvisable to just change the lead to one bought from the likes of Maplin, but failing that  you'll have to get a new lead from B&O or if it isn't the lead take the BS 1 in to have a new socket panel fitted.

Personally I do recall a similar problem with some non-B&O electricals where a new power lead solved the problem.

Tried other power leads, no difference.

I really did step into that one, ay?
