Hello all,

I have a BeoVision 7-32 mk4 and a pair of mk2 BeoLab Pentas.  All is working fine however I was wondering if there is any work  around or fix for having no center channel.

When setting up the system i have to select a speaker for the center channel, now I have no  such speaker, and I am unable to leave it clear.

Should i choose the product with the least power? so  that  the information given out to  this  speaker is minimised?

is the an way to solve this issue without spending a tidy sum on a new BL7.1/4?

EDIT: I use the sysetm on SPEAKER 2, which I believe is a standard Stereo setup, does this completely ignore the centre?

I have previously connected a BS8 to the centre using a standard DIN to phono cable with mixed results. The BS8 has no way of interpreting volume and gives some very unbalanced sound.

Any help would be awesome.

Many Thanks

I think you need to attach both speakers as center and use their left and right switch....

But not sure!

Just an update. Connected the pentas to the cinema center and changed the setup to have a pair of pentas only. Unfortunately no sound, the speakers dont even power up! Worth a try I suppose.

Seems like a simple work around would be to configure the speaker mode to be default 2 channel under sound adjustments? Then you wouldn't have to do it manually.

Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there

The default setting seems to be speaker 2 (mono/stereo) when using only a center channel.  There are no other options presented.

My normal workaround was to have a BL7.2 set as centre and the pentas as front, then change to speaker 2 Manually, and it appears that this is the only way to have the setup. My B&O dealer suggested the same as yourself.

Maybe a firmware update might be in order.

OK it would appear that in my foolish haste to set  the Tv up the first time i failed to notice the other two center sockets underneath the SCART connectors. Plugged into there and everything is working as it should.

Now maybe i should tackle the beolink passive I have lying around!....maybe.

Ahh, yes it would help to connect in the correct sockets Big Smile. I'm glad you got it figured out!
