I just acquired a BeoCenter 7000 that looks to be in fair to good condition to my (novice) eyes aside from a heavy accumulation of dust which I've cleaned.  The previous owner stated that, as far as he knew, everything but the tape deck works fine but it had been something on the order of 7 - 10 years since the unit was last in use.  I want to use this unit in an art studio space and power two pairs of speakers with it simultaneously -- a pair of Bose 301s and a pair of Polk TS100s.  Is this possible?  If so, I need to know how to go about hooking this up, ie where to acquire the (proprietary?) speaker connectors that go into the back flip up area of the BeoCenter 7000 and how to configure them down to the bare wire connections on the backs of these speakers.  I would also like to stream itunes through the equivalent of an "auxiliary in" connection on this BeoCenter via an Apple Airport Express device that I'm currently using for this thru another receiver which I'd like to replace with the BeoCenter.  Ideally, I'd like to accomplish this via connectors located in the back flip up section of the BeoCenter without losing functionality of the BeoCenter's original, built in, inputs.......Is this possible and, if so, where would I need to plug the right & left male RCA connections that are currently on the "stereo receiver end" of the Airport Express to stereo receiver cable?  If this is not possible, is a cable with an RCA right/left on one end and a 5 pin DIN connector on the other all I need to configure the current setup to the front "tape" input?  Last question,...in either of these two described auxiliary in descriptions, how would I select the Airport Express as input device on the BeoCenter once everything was fully connected?  Thanks very much.

I'd probably use this BeoCenter solely for streaming iTunes  for the foreseeable future but might like to get it fully restored to original functionality at some point if all goes well......I've got a ton of vinyl and tapes!

Dear LG,

I am not a specialist of the BC 7000 but it seems to be close from my BM8000.

So, to stream your music with the airport express, you can find 5pin DIN/RCA cable on amazon (I bought one but didn't receive it yet). I don't know the real quality of this cable but for the moment, that will be enough for me (I hear Vinyls in majority).

To plug your speakers, you need an adaptor (that you can also buy on Amazon, sorry, but this shop is incredible). You have to search DIN/HP cable (because the name of the specific plug with two connectors is also DIN, easy no ?)...

For what I know, in B&O system, there are 5 pin DIN plug for auxiliary, 7 pin DIN for datalink and HP DIN to plug your HP.These HP DIN are not proprietary connectors, only specific (much more easy to plug and unplug)...

Best regards,

Jacques
