I was examining the floor stand that I received with my BS9k and Pentas and was fully expecting some parts to be missing by now, as it is a Mark I stand that was completely disassembled in its original factory carton. Surprisingly, the base screws were there and the screws that go through the base plate and into the pole were also there.
What I don't understand is that in the Floorstand 2055 manual, the two pieces that are molded to the POLE piece which the flat piece then attaches to with the other set of screws, are currently attached to the FLAT piece instead and the pole has nothing attached to it at all. There are two keyed holes (just like the ones on the flat piece which the BS9000 trumpet pieces groove into) on the pole, but I cannot see how the other pieces attach to the pole ?!? In other words the two chunky pieces that the manual shows the flat part attaching to, are currently attached TO the flat part and not to the pole.
I must be missing SOME pieces that aren't detailed in the manual. I guess I can always just disassemble and inspect my Mark II floor stand but maybe someone here has a quick idea of what it is.
The spacers fix to the pole with a choice of holes, depending on how high you wish to mount the 9000.
The plate then fixes to the spacers.

Ahh yes. That is the way it SHOULD be, and that IS the way it is on the Mark 2 stand which i disassembled last night. It has two sets of holes that the screws screw directly into.
The Mark I stand still has the spacers, but on the POLE itself there are KEYED holes just like the ones the little trumpet spacers on the 9000 key into on the flat plate. I don't have a picture right now, but to make it more clear, it's almost as if on the Mk I stand (this stand has a highly reflective polished base, the Mk 2 stand is brushed) is designed so that the BS9000 and the back plate can be lifted off the pole together, whereas on the Mk 2 stand you can obviously only lift off the player because the plate is screwed into the pole.
So there must be more, thicker trumpet pieces that I am missing that attach to the plate and spacers to the pole on the Mk I. However I can not remember the model number of the Mark I stand (Mk 2 is 2055 I believe) or find any manual that indicates what the heck I am missing to order it, if its even available.
Thanks.
EDIT: Found a photo on an old Ebay listing of the exact Mk I pole. Note the keyed holes instead of the screw holes on Mk 2.
Sorry, I have never had one like that and I have had stands with polished and brushed bases.
I suggest that you send 9LEE a PM. He will most probably have seen one in his time dealing with BS9000's.
