I operate Beosystem 2500 with Beolink 1000 because none of the buttons work on the system unit. I want to connect my iPod throught Aux input, but trouble is there's no Aux button on Beolink 1000.
However, if I press Phono button on Beolink 1000, the display on the system says PHONO. Does this mean I can switch the system to Aux with Phono button on Beolink 1000?
I can't test it because I don't have the link cable from iPod to Aux yet. I want to find out if it will work before I invest time and money to obtain the cable. Your answer will be appreciated!
SHIFT RADIO selects A.AUX
Thanks for your reply. It doesn't seem to work, though.
Are you sure it works between Beolink 1000 and Beosystem 2500?

Should work.
Note it is SHIFT and then RADIO as separate key strokes
Not SHIFT+RADIO together ... that either does not generate a command, or whatever it does produce is ignore
(tested using a Beolink 1000 on a Beosound 4)
BeoNut since '75
SHIFT+RADIO will select A.AUX on any of the B&O audio masters I've used, including the 2500 I used to have.
Yes, it works. I was pressing both keys at the same time.
Thanks a lot, Guy and Elephant!
No problem.
I suspect that once you get the lead you will find out that pressing PHONO or any of the Video functions (TV, SAT, V.TAPE) also selects the AUX input - one press instead of two! This may depend upon the 'option setting' of the BS2500
