Turned on the BV11 this evening and decided to view a programme on the BBC iPlayer.
On switching to web media I was invited to allow the TV software to track my preferences using cookies. At the end of the message it said I could find more information on the PHILIPS TV website. So, just how much of the TV involves Philips components. Is it just the Smart TV computer element?

BeoBoy68:What is the Problem ? Philips have the best component.
Not a problem at all, except that it is a bit of a surprise when a Philips TV message actually pops-up on a B&O screen!
it would be interesting to know whether the message to consult the Philips website also appears on TV's made by other members of the SMART alliance. You would really expect there to be a separate SMART website. Looking at Wikipedia, Philips was bought out by Japanese electronics giant Funai this year.
"B&O used Philips chassis and components in the past." - That is a long time ago.
'Smarttv platform' - would you really expect Bang & Olufsen to make their own 'Smarttv' version?
