Would an MMC2 benefit from adjusting gain and/or loading?

Has anyone experimented with phono amps that offer this kind of adjustability and whether the MMC series, specifically the MMC2, benefits?

Not really, no. Augmenting the capacitive load will possibly brighten it up a little, but that's pretty much it.
