I have a friend who had beocom 2 mk 2 it being lying up the loft for a couple of years, but I have tried two chargers I know they work as other beocom 2 works fine on both chargers. I have been informed that you can not get any parts got this. I'm pretty sure it's the battery, are there any alternatives or is it still available.

The battery in the BeoCom2 is about the only serviceable item. Its fiddly though. You need to remove the two torque screws form the base and then remove the battery pack. This is ideally done with a special tool.

The replacement battery is part number 8700055.

I'm sure they're still available but you might consider having them do it since it's not easy without the special tool.
