Hi all,
Just got my 4th Beomaster in 2 weeks ago, and started to bring it to working order. This is my 4th BM from the 1900 series (1900, 1900-2, 2300, 2400). Replaced all lamps and caps.
One issue remains: when selecting touchpads, voltage to the relais goes down to ~5V, and not to zero, so the relais won't switch.Without the 'finger' top cover all was working perfectly. After putting the top cover in place, it doesn't switch on anymore (even when the top is now removed).I put one of my other 1900's alongside, and all voltages are (nearly) identical. Checked (new) caps, transistors and rectifier, they all look fine.
(Oh, and touching the pads dims the sleep light slightly).
Love to hear suggestions.

Now there...
'Low price' does not always equal 'cheap'. Sadly lots of companies go bust in Hoilland, probably due to the problematic economic situation. Got some stock (boxes full of quality caps from Nichicon, Panasonic, ELNA, WIMA and lots of other components) from an auction of an electronics firm.Any suggestions to help me with the issue?

Lamps are very critical for correct operation in this Beomaster.
The chinese toy types sold cheaply everywhere have very wide tolerances (and very
short lifespan), i suggest you check those first.

Thanx. Asked seller for specs first, and ordered afterwards. Still could be 'chinese toy' stuff. Will check.
Strangely enough, I had the receiver playing for a day or 2 before putting on the top cover. Only after that the thing stopped working and wouldn't come back to life after rtemoving the top again... At first I thought I made some short circuit.
Difficult to tell.
