Hello,

I have a BL3500 Mk2 (the one with PL socket not MCL). Is it possible for me to connect this to a Playmaker to use it via airplay?

Many thanks!

Thanks for the link but i would like to connect one directly as a converter is expensive and a pre-owned one is rare and i wouldn't be sure i was getting the correct type?

What do you mean with converter? It is not clear to me what you exactly want to do. The Playmaker has for output only speaker  connections. So if you are able to run the BL3500 on an external audio source. This would also be possible with the Playmaker.

Get a used Beosound Ouverture (has masterlink), appr. 150 - 200 Euro, connect the playmaker to the Ouverture via rj45-to-aux cable, run a masterlink cable from beosound to beolab 3500 and you can listen to airplay Music using your beolab 3500...

I had made a composition of Nuclear Oil Energy  and put at my BaO 6 MP3 player, and what a cleaner of interference and the atoms of olors is seen in the screen, green , Blue, Pink and Violet.

The headphones that cost 150 Euro was broken easilly, I don't if BaO has guarantee of change. I  communicated about it and to send to Fabrica. If they Offer a half price to change it. Bang and Oluffsen is Danish Management, I don't know if they know that in Madrid. Ragards. Bella Rassha.

The exact operation of PL socket on the BL3500 is something of a mystery to me.

If I recall correctly, the PL socket was added to allow support for the BeoLink Wireless (before the wireless receiver supported  (mostly) full ML).  That leads me to believe that the BL3500 should be able to take audio input via the PL socket.  However, according to my BLWireless manual, there is still a requirement to have the wireless connected to the ML socket.  Now, it could be that the ML connection is only required to allow for remote control of the wireless, or it could be that the BL3500 will not work at all without a ML connection.

Sorry that I don't have a definitive answer.
