Beolab 2500 static popping noise [NEW with soundclip]

Hello,

I'v got a beosystem 2500 with beolab 2500. One of the beolab 2500s is making static noises when i turn on the system. I tried switching speakers, but noise is always on that one speaker.

The noise sometimes disappear, and system plays flawlessly. Lately, the noise come more often, so i need to fix it.

Can't afford B&O service, so wondering if anyone knows what is going on. I read stuff about replace caps and bad grounding. Anyone have any ideas?

Perhaps there is a problem with the inside woofer. You could open the speaker and check for loose contacts. Even you can swap the woofer to the other speaker, to make sure it's the woofer. Just make some exclusions. Are the cables ok? Did you swap them with the other speaker?

It's more of a static sound. The cables are ok, i swapped around. I'll open up the speaker and check for loose contacts. Anyone done this before?

I called B&O today, and they told me to bring it in for repair, which will be very expensive. 

So, i opened it up to check for loose connections. It looks practically new inside. I noticed nothing loose. Tried to feel every connection, but everything looks solid. I did notice that the black foam was deteriorated...i.e. black half of it came off in my hand like chocolate. I dusted the board off and put it back together.....

....crackling noise is still the same.

Did you swap the woofers?

Sorry, but I cannot see/find any audioclip with the noice. Where is it?

It's certainly worth to repair your system, but ask for the costs before repairing.

Clip is underneath the rating bar in my post. Clip is called memo.mp3. 

I didn't swap the woofers yet. Really don't want to mess with the other good speaker, before i get more opinions on what is wrong. 

What about the deteriorated insulation material, would that cause this problem?

Anyone?

For this particular noise, what should i troubleshoot? Most likely capacitors?
