Hello BeoWorlders,
I decided to post this information in the General Forum, as it might be interesting to users allready having a Beo5/6 and others probably thinking about getting a Beo6.
During the migration from version 4.11 to version 5.12 and modifying my setup (BV10 will be replaced by BV12 next week), I encountered some issues with the config tool. I took the opportunity to take a closer look at the tool. I compiled a guide that guide summarizes the experiences gathered during this process. I want to share this information with you and added a page to the Beo5/6 Wiki page, where you can download the guide.

Hfat,
I have to say that you have produced a truly excellent document which I hope will be very useful to Beoworld Members. I have studied it and it has clearly taken you a lot of work to put together. Well done and thank you..
Regards Keith....
Wonderful job.
While I was happy with my "blind" configuration, your guide has brought so much to light -that I have already started to rethink some of it, as I can now see where I can make some improvements.
Thanks so much for a finely produced guide and all of the effort that you put into it!
Thanks for the guide it is great and made me re-think about having another go at re-programing mine beo5
Thank you all for your feedback.
Some of you PMed me with additional feedback. So I took the opportunity just finalizing my new configuration (BV12 arrives on tuesday) to put together a second version. Some additional step-by-step instruction are added and some new features are introduced. I packed some sample files together with the guide into the zip-file. Unfortunately they use German as the remote's language. I hope you can manage.

Also from here, many thanks for the dedication for such time consuming work!
A complete referencebook for the Beo5 user which wants/needs a (new) challenge.
Thank you !
