Hi.
I have a question for all af you guys using your Beo5/6 with AppleTV.
Since the 2.3 update for the AppleTV was released, it now has a new fancy feature. You can learn the AppleTV to be controlled with 3rd party remotes.
Now, i of course want to use this feature with my new Beo6, so i doesn't have to control my AppleTV2 thru a puc connection (i currently use the AppleTV remote).BUT i can't get it to work?! Anyone else tried this? .. I can see on the back of the Beo6, that it sends out IR commands, but the AppleTV doesn't react.
I have tried with a remote for a "normal" HiFi system and it works flawless.
Anyone know what might be wrong? -I would really like not to have to set it up by puc, if this is possible

If, what you are saying is that you want the Apple TV to learn the B&O codes from your Beo6 which you currently using to send to your Beovision PUC then you have two issues stopping it working:-
The Apple will ONLY detect standard carrier frequencies which is between 30 KHZ and 80 Khz, but B&O uses 455 Khz
If, for some reason you wish to control the Apple DIRECTLY from the Beo6 not using the PUC converter in your Beovision, then you would need to have a third party XML. You can download an XML for an Apple HERE
Regards Keith....
Actually, as i just got my B&O TV (by the way a 7-55, and very happy with it ) and Beo6, I haven't had the time to set up the puc control, so i just use the Apple remote. I know how the PUC system works, but i would just favour not using it, if there is another way, so i won't have de short delay.
I did knew that B&O remotes uses a different frequence for IR codes, but i was hoping it would work.
But it sounds great that i should have the opportunity to control it directly from the Beo6 if i fiddle a little with XML. I will definitely give it a go -Thanks
