Hi guys,

Please feel free to move this if I'm posting it in the wrong forum (apologies for being a newbie here)

I have a Beovision Avant 32 (VHS) which has all of a sudden decided to stop working. When you try to turn it on it emmits a continuous loud clicking noise (sounds like a relay clicking) but can't seem to power itself up (the screen stays black and the red light doesn't come on)

It's still a great TV, wiht excellent sound (as many of you probbaly know) and I can't bare to throw it out, so I'm hoping that someone may be able to offer some help - I have my fingers crossed that it isn't going to be beyone economical repair!

Thanks in advance,

Greig

Hi. I'm sorry I'm not in any way a technician to be able to diagnose the problem, but if the worst comes to the worst these great tv's are going for a song on eBay and on the second hand market generally.

So if your own set is beyond repair there is at least every chance you will be able to get an identical set for very little outlay.

This may not be the ideal solution for your problem but if you do get a diagnosis then buying a dead avant for spares/repair may also be a solution, if not another working set.

Graeme.

Thanks for the opinion Graeme.

I've stuck mine up on ebay as spares or repairs and will look into buying a replacement Avant from there too,

Thanks,

Greig
