Has anyone tried one of these?

I need an extra line-in on my BC9500 and wondered what the sound quality would be like with this?

Haven't try, but.... but... One could expect it to do something to sound as it needs to do "anti-riaa correction" and so... If this were my problem, I would bypass internal riaa amplifier.

Thanks - I thought about an internal by-pass but I don't really want to muck around inside my BC9500 - I like to keep it original!

Alternatively a manual 7-pin DIN switch box could help, but most of the input selectors that I have seen are 5 pin only, hence I wouldn't get the pin 6/7 data connections.

I might try the phono input adaptor and if the sound quality is poor I may have to build a switch box.

If you build yuorself switchbox, you can use 8-pin female din connetors. they have 7 round and one in the middle, comtabiabe with B&O 7-pin male connectors.

Thanks Ralf but one of the two devices I'll be connecting needs the data connection also - hence the requirement for the 7 pin DIN inputs.

The AUX/TV is connected to my BV3, and the TAPE2 is connected to one of these:

which is a B&O compatible Internet Radio/DAB/Music player that uses the data connection.

Looks perfect - I assume that the inputs are 7 pin DIN?

The pins are 7-pin!

It is made exactly for this/your purpose.

I have one - in use Stick out tongue  - everyone should have one Stick out tongueStick out tongue

BUT you must have good lucks to find one - unfortunately.

Ralf,

Thanks, I might try that one. Of course I would then add the splitter to my AUX/TV input, which is currently connect to the ML Converter and BV3.

I then assume that simply pressing AUX on BC9500 (or A.AUX on Beo4) would give me the additional input. This would be my Playmaker in fixed volume mode.

I suppose that the BC9500 can then differentiate between the new input and a deliberate selection of the TV as an input - where AUX 1 = TV, AUX 3 = SAT, AUX 4 = DVD/V.AUX/V.MEM.

Here's a completed auction for one.  I have one (not for sale).  Leslie probably has around five of them - you might want to contact him.
