Dear members,

since I'm buying a LCS 7000 from Leslie (thanks Leslie!), I wanted to ask, how this thing works. It's supposed to consist of several components.

My current setup is: Beosystem 7000 linked via 1611 converterbox to Avant VCR 8430. I have two Beolink 7000s in the same room, which works fine except that display of time gets lost after a couple of hours.

My questions: 1) Is it possible to integrate the LCS7000 in my existing system (in exchange for one table charger) and if so, how?

2) How would this affect two way information being displayed on both Beolink 7000s in the same room?

Software in the Beomaster is 1.3 (thanks Ulf!) and the Beomaster is in option 0, whereas the Avant is in option 2.

I have screened through the forum but couldn't find much information about the LCS7000.

Thanks very much.

Rgds,

Kai

The last LCS7000 I've sold was included with a converter. The LCS7000 that is sold to Kai is without the converter. I'm not sure if the LCS7000 is useless without this converter or maybe another type can be used? I don't know. @Kai, if it's useless then we can still cancel the deal (as already offered).

Signs that the tranceiver is useless without the converter box are getting more... Will probably be pretty hard to find a separate converter box won't it?

Check this archived thread.

I suppose you need a mcl x-tra kit (or actice one).

These show up on ebay, I bet Leslie got one, too. Big Smile

Your just Need to confirm the exact type of kit.

Tanks Ralf,

yes but this particular type (2013) seems to be quite rare. Not sure whether and if so what other type numbers can be used.

I suppose you could use any xtra kit, (2026 - 2047).

Maybe someone can confirm?

Ralf

PS: These kits are on Ebay now, so you could get them cheap - or - ask Leslie to supply a unit....

Nobody, who can confirm? And how is this thing integrated in an existing system? Or is it only reasonably used in a multi-room setup?

Will work with all MCL devices with 5 wire transceiver connection. LCS7000 acts like a normal MCL transceiver.

An LCS7000 is only useful if it is set to L.OPT 1/2. You have to connect Beovox/Beolab to it.

In your setup - as described in my pm - you will have to set your BV to V.OPT 1 or 0.

But LCS7000 is meant for linkroom use.
