Have just seen this item on ebay MMC20CL ebay item: 261292317717. Is this a fair price and worth the expense. I currently have an MMC20EN and MMC3000 that I've used on my Beogram 4002. Can this be improved with an upgrade?
I'm surprised no one has chimed in. That's a fair price, but as with anything of that age, it's a roll of the dice.
I have both of the cartridges you currently own (plus a newer Soundsmith version of the EN). My favorite is the MMC3000 but it's been retipped. I have never had the pleasure of listening to the CL but it's reputation is stellar.
A fair price - unlike some of the other cartridges listed!! I could lend you a 20CL to listen to if you like though I would want it back!! You could then judge if it was something you would want to look for in the future.
