What is the best way to enhance the life expectancy of early 1990's audio systems (Beomaster 7000 and 4500 and Beocenter 9500) that are not used regularly?

Disconnect, box and store safely?

Or keep connected to the mains and use as regularly as possible?

Many thanks!

If connected: Use at least 2-3 hours a week, during use exercise all functions, leave in standby where available, the standby mode helps against humidity and temp. changes.

If stored: I would throughout clean the items, after cleaning check functionality, wood parts protected with a thick layer of boiled linseed oil  store in plastic bags, vacuum sealed with silica gel bags and store in a temp controlled environment +- 20°C. Once a year change plastic bags and silica.

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
