Hello,
I've just setup a Beogram 1700. I have couple of issues. Can someone help please?
There is a slight hum. I'm guessing this might be an earthing issue. I'm connected to a Cambridge Azur Amp via an Azur 540p phono stage using a DIN to phono connector. The phono stage has a grounding post. My current (soon to be old) turntable has a lead that just connects to that. Where would I connect to on the 1700? Would it be on the DIN plug?
The other issue (one that I might be able to sort out with fiddling but would like to avoid if poss) is that when I start the deck the arm moves to the record but moves a little too far so that it starts a few seconds into the song.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark
hi,
i have the same problem (too short arm range).
have you find an solution?
thanks
Grounding wire; connect to the chassis anywhere on the 1700 or to the metal on the DIN plug
Set down and lift off points are adjustable, but first of all a good cleaning and lubrication of all mechanics is recommendable and then check and if needed adjust according to the repair manual, which is available on site for silver and gold members
