Beomaster 8000 Glass Cover: Damaged Tint

Hi There,

I have a Beomaster 8000 with a glass cover where the tint applied to the inside developed some "spots". Worse,  a previous owner damaged the coating while trying to get a piece of dust out from a crack above one of the displays....here are a couple of pics:

I would like to fix this...removing the tint and replacing it with weak automotive tint comes to mind. Then there is the question of how to remove the plastic display bezel....Any input and advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
