I'm in trouble. My pair of Beolab 8000 make White noise by itselves. And it so load that it is notice-able especially  in the musics  silence passages and my wife is blaming me for doing nothing anything about it.. ( I'm allways listen to rock very loadly and don't notice it). But after I connect them to my Samsund tv via the earphone outlet I agreed with her.

I have not done any inspection yet.
So please help:
Could it the be the offset current there is  out of adjustment?

Or is this a common way of behaving for them?

Is there any impedance conflict ?
The sound output is significant lower from the Line-in compared to the power from Beomaster 6500 via the PowerLink socket

Any good advices are welcome

Model 8000 type 6801 A s/n 145904xx
Are there any update t them in any way?

Not normal, I'm sure.

Have you tried with another set of cables?

To what are they connected, and how?

Too long to list....

Other cables - yes.

Connected to the Headphone socket (tv has no other sound out sockets)

Samsung tv: UE46D8005

Have you tried a set of headphones to the TV, in case the TV is the problem.

If the headphone socket is giving less than 600 mV it will be less loud than the powerlink, I have that problem with my Onkyo amp. only 400 mV.

If you have drive the TV volume very high, that may be the problem, try with another amp, with sufficient line voltage, If OK the speakers are good.

Hmm, I will measure tt tomorrow and see what the line gives out. Been looking for tv-specs without luck.
Another try will be a connection frpom tv.headphone to my BM 6500 to the BL8000, but I don't like that solution - I want the possibility to have another pair of loadspeakers in the kitchen giving other sound than the tv sound.

Listen carefully to the BL in idle I discover a 50Hz rumble together with the white noise, so I think I have to rebuild them with new condensators....
