Hello,
I have tried several Flac 24 bits hd test files from the LINN website and the only one that can be read by my BM5 is the 24bit 88.2kHz 5.1 Surround FLAC test file.I have absolutely no sound for the 24 /96 and 24/192 files.
Please, let me know what's working for you.
Thanks

Hi,
96 KHz/24 bit FLAC-files bought from hdtracks.com (or similar sites, eg. qobuz.com) work perfectly on my BS5/BM5 - but they are not in 5.1 though. I do know they are in 96 KHz/24 bit, as I have analyzed them with the appropriate software.
I get no sound indeed if I use 192 KHz/24 bit files. Maybe the fact that your 96/24 test files do not work is due to the fact that they are in 5.1?
Hope this helps.

Hi vantage,
thanks for your answer.
It is not really a 5.1 file, and this one is the only one who works. Nothing in 96 works.Neither in 192.
Maybe with the arrival of the wisa speakers (192,320 capabilities), there will be an update of the bm5 in order to be able to read these hd files.
Best regards
Olivier
Hi Olivier,
Weird - I heard that the new B&O WISA speakers would support files of up to 24-bit/48 KHz (ie. not 88, 96, 176 or 192 KHz), but maybe I got it wrong?
Klaus
My source of information is not the more trustable.
So maybe it will stay like this.
Wait and see Klaus
This doesn't explain why I can not read 24/96 files whereas you do.

I believe you are correct, I think Olivier may be getting mixed up with bit rates for lossy files, i.s. 192kbps, or 320kbps.
Ban boring signatures!

You're probably right
For the 24/96 I confirm that it works perfectly.
