I'm about to embark on my first Beogram restoration (I've restored other reasonably delicate and complex electronic devices over the years but this will be the first TT)
I have just bought a non operational Beogram 8000 in great cosmetic condition. I will be sourcing a new tachodisc and capacitors from Martin (Dillen) but I'm putting the call out for a 240 volt 50hz transformer module. (I am in Melbourne Australia) The unit is American (5613) hence is 120v 60hz. I'm guessing i'll be needing a 240v 50hz from either a 5616 or 5617. If anyone out there in Beoworld has one they would like to on-sell or swap for a 120v 60hz unit then please get in touch!
I believe I may have just put out a request for a needle in a haystack (no tenuous turntable pun intended!)
Thanks in advance and wish me luck!

Alrighty! I think I can broaden my search to 3 transformer modules that will suit my needs.
They are:
8013244 type 5616 (240 volt 50hz)
8013245 type 5617 (240 volt 50hz) - Australian model
8013205 type 5616 (220 volt 50hz)- Although I'm in Australia with its nominal 240v supply (now apparently 230 volt !?!) I can source a toroidal step down transformer as the 50hz frequency is my main concern.
The hunt continues!
Please shout out if you need my 120v 60hz 5613 as it will be of zero use to me!
Cheers again.
Hmmm The hunt continues. As the transformers themselves appear to be a non existent item I am hereby extending the search to damaged and non functioning turntables. If anyone has a 240v 8000, 6006 or 8002 that has been run over by a train/ thrown out a window by a non understanding partner etc then let me know. Once I find the part I'm looking for anyone is welcome to my 120 volt unit. Postage costs are all I ask. Cheers Again.
