How does our virgin stb communicate with the V1 without having an ir blaster?
If the ir eye on the box is covered it can be controlled by the Beo 4 and the IPad beo control app.
Beo Century ,Beoplay V1, Beocenter 6, Ex-Beolit 12, Beotime , A8. Beolit 15 , Form 2i , Beolab 2000, Beoplay A3.Beosound 1
Without an IR blaster on the device or IR Plug on the back of the device, the V1 will not control it.
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
But it does!
the box is in a closed unit under the V1 and as long as the door is closed the beo4 or iPad change channel and adjust volume .
But the box was not on the PUC list and has never been activated . It is intriguing.
Either it's a minor glitch in the SW during the setup process and it some how held the code (otherwise how would it know to control that specific box) or it is configured without your knowledge. It's also correct that the IR blaster is firing the commands and it's reflecting in the cabinet to control the device. Regardless at least it's all working as it should (sorta)
Do you have the 'PUC-menu' - with the assigned buttons - on the left side of the screen, when you press 'MENU' with this source/virgin box activated?
If 'yes' - there MUST be an entry in the list!
Try pulling out the ir-cable from the V1 - and see what happens!
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
"Try pulling out the ir-cable from the V1 - and see what happens!"

it works as the dealer installed it .Kinda
