Hello,

Every time I see it, I reflect upon how "ugly" the Beosound 5 stand is. It does not go very well with the nice stands for speakers, BL3, BL4000 etc.

Is it just me or do you like the design?

I agree with you. I would have purchased one but for the fact it does not match all of the others.

Agree that it is ugly. To me, it just doesn't look right.

Don't like it either, IMHO the BS5 looks its best when put on a table or wall.

Too long to list....

I used to have my BS5 on a floor stand and it worked, but now I use the tabletop(?) stand and it is much nicer!

Same feeling here. It's OK, but a bit awkward and unstable looking. The table and wall mounts, however, very sexy.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad

Nice to see that I am not the only with this feeling.

I cannot in my mind understand why B&O goes against their design philosophy with this stand. The Beosound 5 is such a nice product but with the stand it looks just wrong - and the stand is expensive too.

In some cases, it is more practical, depending of your furniture arrangememt.

I have this stand, and on the base of it, i place the beolab 11.

It is in a corner of the room, next to the furniture where the beolabs 3 are.

It does not look so ugly, it fits perfectly with the gray BL11' and with the aluminium of the BV 7 on the wall.

I had the Bs5 between 2009 and early this year and in my experience I found the stand to be poorly engineered.

The Bs5 unit wiggled about in the stand and despite trying to keep the unit horizontally positioned on the stand it would tilt making it look odd.

I think the mounting bracket between the stand and Bs5 unit was not a tight fit.

When the unit's buttons were pressed the unit and the stand would wobble a little.

As for the design, again my opinion only, it was far from the other pretty stands that B&O have created.
