I have a Beovision 5.  Everytime the TV is turned off the sound is reset to 48 which is very loud.

Loudness also defaults to on.

Is this default behavior for this TV, or is there some internal small battery somewhere that needs replacing or something similar?

Is this a newly obtained TV or have you had it a while and it's always done this, or is it a newly developed 'problem'?

Have you adjusted the volume settings in the menu?  48 would be loud as about 34 is ample for me with mine!

Dave.

On the former MX series You can, and You have to STORE the default sound setting, IMHO You have to do it on a BV5 too. Simply set Your preferred sound settings (for power on default) and press "SOUND"+"STORE"+"STORE" on Your remote.

I hope this helps :)

Hi mrchriz,

your BV5 shows the correct behaviour as it reverts to default sound settings after stand by.

You have to set up the sound settings to your needs:

turn on BV5 and press menu on your Beo4

select option set up

select option sound

set up sound to your needs

confirm pressing go

exit menu

theese settings will be activated after stand by
