Hi Beomembers;

I'm sure this question has been asked many times in the forum but I do not find the solution... so sorry if the solution is obvious to you...

As some of you already know; I love my beocenter 9500 and my penta"s and I also love my S45... What is cool with the BC9500 is that I can plug active (pentas) and passive (S45) speakers! That's the perfect combination for me (as S45 are really incredible to hear Jazz, in my view).

But the only problem for me is that I cannot directly control which speakers I want to hear... There is no switch to choose between speakers 1 and 2.

My configuration

Speaker 2: S45 (I can mute them when I would like to hear the pentas but cannot change the volume.

Powerlink 1: pentas (I can switch them of as they are plugged in a plug with a switch (that's not a perfect solution and cannot be remote controlled)...

Is there a better solution? I think it is possible to buy a beolink active (with IR) to control the penta but that's an expensive solution only for on/off and I will not use the internal amp of the 9500 (which is the same, I know). But for the pentas, is it possible to have also an IR eye to control them with the remote?

Is there any other solution?

Thank you, one more time in advance for your great advises!

You could BC9500 to Beolink Converter to BeoLink Active and operate the Penta's as a Link Room. That should work.

Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
